Caregiver Connections

Caregiving can come with many questions and challenges, and it can be difficult to know where to turn for information, support or connection.

Caregiver Connections is returning to HSCA this fall, with six in-person sessions offered throughout October and November. Morning, afternoon and evening options are available to make it easier for caregivers with different schedules to participate.

These informal sessions are an opportunity to connect, ask questions, explore caregiving resources and supports, and talk with others about the caregiving journey.

Caregiver Connections is also an opportunity for HSCA to learn what kinds of information, resources and connections would be most helpful to caregivers in the community as the program continues to develop.

Please reach out to HSCA’s Senior Connections Coordinator, Debbie at 403-283-0554 ext 224 or email Debbie.o@hsca.ca. Connecting with someone outside of family and friends can help when we are feeling overwhelmed or just need to talk to someone who understands the challenges of being a caregiver.

Looking for caregiver resources?

HSCA has gathered information and resources that may be helpful to caregivers, including general caregiver supports, programs and information about medical alert and personal response services.
