Caregiver Connections

This page is currently being updated regularly, so please be patient as we add new details and updates on resources and online programming. Please take a moment to fill-out our Caregiver Survey below.

About

You may not be ready to join a support group. You may not be ready or willing to talk about your journey as a caregiver with other caregivers, or even with other family members or friends. But there are a lot of challenges, information, resources, and even connections that can help provide you with support, ideas, and information that might help make your journey a little easier and more manageable.

Sections will be added to this site as it develops and will reflect different focus areas  related to Caregiving.  The intent is to help you explore and access information and support which hopefully will be primarily focused on relevant Calgary, Alberta and Canadian information.  Please visit our Caregiver Connections Resource page.

Caregiver Group-Website (2).png

Visit our Online Programming page for more information on the Caregiver Connections Group and contact Debbie if you would like to join the group. If you are a family caregiver, support a friend or a paid caregiver, you are welcome to join the group. It helps to know that you are not alone in the challenges you may be experiencing and sharing thoughts and ideas can help in this journey. While this is information is directed to Caregiving for seniors, there are a lot of areas that overlap with all caregiving support, even if the caregiving is done long distance, or for someone who is in long term care or a congregate living setting.

Feedback

If you are currently a caregiver, anticipate being a caregiver, or have been a caregiver in the past, please take a moment to respond to the survey link below. The questions will help us to build the website and provide information and connections that may help you on this journey. You do not need to identify yourself, but your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like more information, have comments or suggestions for our online programming, you can submit through our ‘Connect’ form below or leave a message with Debbie at 403-283-0554 ext 224 or email her at Debbie.o@hsca.ca
