2026 Events

Neighbour Day is June 20

• Sunnyside Neighbour Day Parade
1 pm arrival, 2 pm start
Violet King Park (7 Ave & 5 St NW)
Costumes, music, and a fun, family-friendly tradition

• Neighbour Day Art Festival
10 am to 3:30 pm
📍 Framed on Fifth & 1st Street Tattoo
1207 & 1209 5 Ave NW
Local artists sharing their work in an open, street-level setting
Food trucks will be set up across the street at HSCA

• Free Community Concert (‘Home by Midnight’)
4 pm
West Gladstone Triangle Park (Gladstone Rd & 13 St NW)
Live music by Home by Midnight (50s–70s classics)
Bring a chair, a beverage, and cash to tip the band. Chalk and bubbles available for kids.

Kensington Street Sale
9 am – 2 pm
10A, 11, 11A, 12 & 13 Street NW
Neighbours living between Kensington Road and 5 Avenue NW on these streets are invited to take part in this annual Neighbour Day street sale. Sell your treasures, connect with neighbours, and enjoy the day outdoors. Kids are welcome to set up food or drink stands too. Please note there will be no donation pick-up for unsold items this year. Participants are encouraged to donate leftovers to a local organization such as Made by Momma, Women in Need, Goodwill, or the Salvation Army. Questions or interested in participating?
