Construction Ready Cleanup

With upcoming impacts to street parking availaibility, The City is hosting a construction ready cleanup for the Riley Area to help clear extra space in your garage or parking space. The construction ready cleanup will provide an opportunity for reisdents to dispose of items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts (and save on landfill fees!)

This is a free event!

Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024

Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm

Location: St. John Reception Centre Parking Lot - 15 12 ST NW

Accepted Items: electronics, clothing donations, metal and wood materials, furniture (yes, that king sized bed or old sectional couch fits in the truck), and general household junk.

Items not accepted: Householder hazardous waste (propane tanks, paint), automobile/cleaning/healthcare/gardening chemicals, car batteries, tires, glass (windowpanes, glass table tops), sod or dirt (those can go in your compost bin).


Starting March 2: 10th ST NW between 5 AVE and SAIT way NW

This is an an opportunity for community members to learn where the team is in the planning process, chat with the project team, and have your questions answered.

Location: West Hillhurst Go-Getters Association - 1940 6 AVE NW

Dates: Monday, March 11, 2024

Time: 4:30 to 5:20pm / 5:30 to 6:20pm / 6:30 to 7:20pm

Registration is required (see the box below). Please note that capacity is limited to 10 participants for each 50-minute window as this will allow all voices in the room to be heard, and to ensure all feedback is focused, captured, and addressed by the team. These sessions are meant to in informal, so please arrive anytime within the timeframe you registered for.
