FoodFit is a 12-week registered program designed to bring community members together to set goals, learn new skills and make measurable changes in overall health and fitness.

Each week participants:

Participate in a food skills lesson, eat a healthy snack, cook a meal together and participate in a 30 minute physical activity like walking, yoga, or even belly dancing!

This program is free and offers priority to community members living on a low income.

Who can join?

Anyone who is excited to commit for 12 weeks to working on making their lifestyle healthy!

You should join if…:

Community Food Centres Canada creates and supports vibrant, food-focused organizations and programs that bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food for all. By working from shared principles, the Good Food Organizations program aims to increase the capacity of Canadian community food security organizations to offer healthy and dignified food programs in their communities. Funding support from Community Food Centres Canada goes toward hiring, training and supporting a FoodFit Facilitator as well as some programming costs like food. HSCA is continually seeking funding or in-kind support for special presenters (for example fitness instructors) and participant prizes for program completion or achieving milestones throughout the program.
